Explore Cape Town - The Mother City

We will converge in Nairobi JKIA at 5am to catch an early morning direct flight to Cape town. Arrive in Cape Town by early afternoon and settle into a great 4 Star Hotel in the Sea Point area. Meet in lobby for a visit to V&A Waterfront to relax and enjoy some Mother City vibes. Take a lovely stroll along the sea point promenade after which will be back to the hotel for a welcome dinner and welcome address.
Breakfast!!!! And then, put on your hat for a scenic drive round Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point, where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic! Take the train up at cape point and visit the light house. Pass through the Navy HQ of Simon’s Town to visit the African Penguins at Boulders Beach. These guys are cute!! After Boulders beach we’ll make a quick stop at Kalk Bay, one of the oldest harbours in SA. Visit the Famous Muizenberg for some epic pictures. Lunch somewhere along the way! Back to the hotel at Sea Point, but with a 2 hour stop at Kirstenbosch to walk the canopy called Snake trail. Dinner and it will be seafood!! (or not)
After breakfast, the Colourful Bo Kaap is next with its rich Malay history. The aroma of the food…...hmmmm. And then the Castle where it all began with the Western influence. After Bo Kaap we head up to Lions Head with its spectacular views over Cape Town and then TABLE MOUNTAIN!! Woop Woop!! Absolutely Amazing to visit one of the wonders of the world! Access to Table Mountain will be by cable car. After Table Mountain it’s time to leave Cape Town for some fun at cool runnings. After the action at cool runnings we will need some rest and to settle in at the new hotel with an awesome walk on Krystal beach before dinner. New hotel! New Location at the Western Cape! It’s Gordon’s Bay!
After that buffet breakfast…. eeeish...we need to take it slow. So, we will head up one of the most beautiful routes in the world… Clarence Drive, through the small little towns of Bettys bay (with it’s naughty baboons), Kleinmond and then…. Hermanus. Famous for its great white sharks (we will not see any… much too dangerous) and where the whales come to have their babies June to August. Here you can shop and have a cocktail on the beach and swim if you like at the Voelklip beach. WHITE SANDS!! And then…. back to the hotel at Gordon’s Bay and not going to say much…...but prepare for one of the most beautiful sights when we come over Sir Lowry Pass. Cool off in the swimming pool or take a nap before we have dinner on the terrace!! This was a leisure day!!
You have been waiting for this!! WINE FARM DAY!! After Breakfast, we leave for picturesque Franschhoek, via Stellenbosch. We will visit a few wine farms and do not worry. there is a designated driver. If you do not take wine, also worry not, tea & coffee will be in plenty! Lunch will be somewhere in a beautiful vineyard and in Franschhoek... Believe me...you will want to shop. We will stay over in Franschhoek.
Back to Cape Town and today is Waterfront day to shop till you drop and we will stop along the way at some factory outlets. We will check into the new hotel at Sea Point and then it is free time to do what you want and like…. but stay close. Don’t go too far!! We want to say goodbye to Cape Town by doing an awesome sunset cruise to have a view of this beautiful city for the last time. And then we will have a special dinner for the last, last, last goodbyes. Optional Activities:
  • Red Bus Tour of Cape town CBD $15 pp
  • Two oceans Aquarium Waterfront $12 pp
  • Helicopter ride Cape Town, Camps bay area $110 pp
  • Robben Island Visit $33 pp
  • Paragliding $100 pp
Time to pause the adventure with the attitude ‘We’ll be back soon’ Take some time to pack your bags, have a last Cape Town breakfast, and then after check out, we take a last scenic drive to look over the Mother city one last time to say our goodbyes at the airport Memories made forever!!
